Fleet Loqater update and now also for Android

Fleet Loqater provides vehicle tracking systems to meet the tax authorities's mileage registration requirements. The system creates overviews of trips made by all vehicles. The vehicle information and mileage registration were already available via the desktop web application and for the iOS app. This skipped the Android users. In addition, several important functionalities were not available to users with the mobile application.

Development of new features and Android version

The assignment to Solid Digital included further optimizing various functionalities and developing an Android app. The already developed basic application (iOS) was developed in the Xamarin framework. It was decided to incorporate all new functionalities, including the Android version, into the existing framework. This not only ensures optimal optimization, it also makes it easier to add new functionalities to this future-proof solution.

Due to the new privacy legislation, we added password protection when opening the app. This prevents others from viewing the trips that have been driven. The app also considered how to quickly and easily adjust trips and a clear visual representation of the route driven. Solid Digital has developed new features for the iOS and Android app;

• Automatic notification if km calibration has not been performed within a certain period
• Possibility to add receipts and documents: all administration in one app
• Development of the Android version of the app

Results

By developing based on the existing framework, we were able to realize the project within the deadline and budget. Future developments and functionalities can easily be added to the existing software.

The total number of users of the Fleet Loqater apps has increased significantly and the new functionalities, in particular, have been positively received by users.
