Graffiti is everywhere and is a nuisance. Residents are highly annoyed by this “pollution”. Graffiti attracts graffiti and a daubed city does not encourage tourists and affects Amsterdam's image. The policy of the Municipality of Amsterdam is to remove Graffiti as quickly and effectively as possible. The “Anti Plaque and Scrap” department of the Municipality of Amsterdam is responsible for removing this disfiguring nuisance.
Residents or companies call the Municipality or report via the website of the Municipality of Amsterdam. The method of reporting graffiti nuisance via the website of the municipality of Amsterdam was not easy for citizens because it was difficult to find the right page with the corresponding contact form.
After sending a graffiti report, this did not always end up in the right department and the details of the report were often incomplete. As a result, reports were left unnecessarily long. In order to better serve the residents of Amsterdam, it was decided to further optimize the workflow and at the same time, it was decided to improve efficiency. For this assignment, the Municipality of Amsterdam approached Solid Digital.
Solid Digital developed a web application and an app based on these steps:
Easy reporting of graffiti, racist texts or other emergencies. Sending a report to the municipality of Amsterdam quickly and effectively in three steps; the location, situation, photo and type of report can be attached immediately.
Notifications are transmitted directly via the app to the relevant department, so that graffiti removal is achieved more quickly.
